West Country Adventure 2005

Its better to travel...

Travelling is an exciting adventure for anyone, but when you travel in company the excitement and joy is more than doubled. For this second trip to the West Country I was accompanied by Cindy, Jackie, Michelle, and Richard. Coming from a variety of backgrounds and experiences the common thread of motorcycles made our trip all the more thrilling.

Travelling from Poole to Cullumpton took us oversome interesting smaller roads which were quite quiet. Staying at the Wishay Farm Bed and Breakfast, our two evening forays into the nearby village of Bradnitch meant a bracing walk over the hill both ways. Enjoyable for certain, but ever so slightly different!

We than moved down to Polperro, staying at The Crumplehorn Inn going out from there to explore all around the edges of the Devon and Cornwall peninsula. Highlights include travelling over all three major moors, getting to Lands End, and seeing the recovery of the village of Boscastle after their awful floods of August 2004. Other memorable activities include using two small river ferries, and getting (almost !) lost in the tiny little lanes. A great time, and I look forward to the next trip with different guests, perhaps this will include you? Send me an email
